Recreational Program
This is where it all begins! Learn life skills while enjoying Performance in Dance Arts. We strive to teach students in our Recreational dance classes - excellence in life through Dance at JBSD. We feel teaching proper technique in our recreational program, dancers will gain life skills, while enjoying and performing the art of dance. This is essential to the development of the student’s growth and learning skills. Through our programs our students gain confidence and build self-esteem. Our instructors are helpful, encouraging, nurturing and honest with our students.
Competition Program
Why Competitive Dance at JBSD? We give every dancer the opportunity to be part of the JBSD PAC experience. We are more than just a team, we are JBSD FAMILY. Competitive dance can be an enriching experience for kids of all ages. Like any other sport or club that competes, it offers many benefits. Being on the JBSD Dance team and attending competitions will teach your child to act as a member of a team. They will be in a position where they can learn to respect and value the other members of their team for their individual talents. It instills a sense of community in them and gives them that support system they will find at JBSD. Our JBSD Company competes at Regional competitions, as well as a local Nationals in St. Louis. We also give our dancers out of state options, Nationally. We understand that not everyone of our members is able to travel, that decision is up to each individual family. We compete ALL levels of Dance- Novice, Intermediate, and Elite. We have won Nationals both in St Louis and Nationally in all three levels.
